Book Sales

Amazon Store Did you know your Friends also sell books on Amazon? If you see a book you like on Amazon, check if a used copy is being sold by “Friends of the SCPL” or click directly on our page to see the full list of our current offerings. Your Friends appreciate you adding that copy to your cart!

You can click also directly on the PRODUCTS tab at the top tool bar on our seller page to see our latest offerings. It’s on the tab to the right of the other tabs, underneath the description of the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries.

All library Book Sales are CANCELLED until further notice.

Also, in an effort to limit as many non-essential trips out into our community as possible, Capitola Branch Library Friends are closing the book store in the Capitola Mall until at least April 9th.

About Friends Book Sales

The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries hold a few big book sales every year. The books and media sold are the crème de la crème of the library donations, from fiction to children’s books, audio books to CD’s (sorry, no vinyl). Our non-fiction covers subjects from A-Z: cookbooks, crafts, foreign languages and gardening, health & well-being, poetry, religion & spirituality, travel, reference, sports & games, and humor! We also have an impressive selection of vintage books, including some real treasures of antiquity.

“I’ve been looking for this book all over the world. I found it in London for £800. I paid $2 today!” — a customer

The Friends also have several small sales several times a year around the county. The small sales are often themed and bring select books and media to each sale.

To donate books to the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries for our next Book Sale, please deliver them to your local Santa Cruz Public Library. If you would like to volunteer at a Book Sale, please contact us at friends@fscpl.org or (831) 427-7700, ext. 5790.
