Spring Book Sale

Spring into summer with some new books!

Summer is fast approaching, which means spending lots of time soaking up the warm weather at one of Santa Cruz’s beaches. But what goes great with laying under an umbrella in the sand? The perfect summer beach read, of course!

If you’re looking to stock up on books to add to your beach bag, come to the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (FSCPL) spring book sale. In addition to the perfect summer book, we will also have books on crafts, cooking, history, reference, and much much more.

Taking place on Saturday, May 17th from 10 am to 5 pm, the spring book sale will be held in the parking lot next to the library. It’s open to FSCPL members from 10 am to 11 am and the general public from 11 am to 3 pm. From 3 pm to 5 pm, there will also be a bag sale — all you can fit in a standard grocery bag for $5.

On top of buying books, there will be a DJ and a kids craft table, where kids can make their own books. Parents, this means you can leave your kids entertained within sight while you shop!

After you’re done shopping, head across the street to enjoy some delicious food at the Greek Festival. Better yet, there will be a coupon exchange with the Greek Festival —  go to one event, then enjoy a discount at the other!

Prices are: $3 hardcover, $2 all trade paperback & hardcover fiction, $1 mass market (or $2 for 3).

Kids’ books, prices are: $2 for hardcover, $1 paperback.
