February was the month to be in Aptos. Despite wind and rain, the new Aptos Branch Library opened on February 4 and 5 to a very warm welcome from the community. During its first four open hours, branch staff delighted in showing visitors the spacious children’s room, the teen room, all the small and large meeting rooms, the Aptos History Museum exhibits, and of course, the over 700 books and materials that started flying out the door.
