The Library does not accept donations, but our Friends chapters do! They will even pick up the books from your house. Two of our chapters, the Friends of the Capitola Branch and the Friends of the Scotts Valley Branch are coordinating these efforts. Please check out their sites for details.

You can take two grocery bags of books to the Friends of the Capitola Bookstore and two grocery bags of books to the Scotts Valley Branch Library. But if you have more, please respect our spaces and use the contacts above to have your books picked up from your home!

Capitola bookstore is open!

Thanks to the generosity of the Capitola Mall, the Friends of the Capitola Library have reopened their bookstore in a new, spacious location in the mall, next to Hallmark and across from Express! There are currently thousands of used items in the shop: books, CDs, DVDs, and more. Most items sell for $1 or $2 each and all funds will be used to enhance the new Capitola library. The store is cash or check only; masks and social distancing are required.
